Full Stack Developer

We're seeking a Full Stack developer to work on and improve CTcue's applications for identifying patient cohorts and collecting clinical data.

About CTcue

We live in a world where most information is readily available at our fingertips. You might be surprised to learn that the situation in hospitals is rather different. Initially we started CTcue, because we wanted to help doctors identify patients for clinical trials in an automated manner. However, along the way of actualizing this, we gradually started to realize that our job is far more fundamental than that.

70% of health data is entered as text into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and their potential remains mostly unused. Manually searching for patients against quality and study criteria is a major hurdle and adds immensely to the burden of hospitals. Using information retrieval, natural language processing and AI technologies CTcue unlocks the value of this health data. We are developing a user-friendly search application attuned to and focused on the end users; doctors, healthcare support personnel and business intelligence units. As one of our full-stack developers you will help develop and improve our search application.

What you will do

Our back-end is built with NodeJS (NestJS framework) and the client in Angular. Our main language is Typescript. We persist application data in Postgres. Our DWH team aggregates and transforms structured data and unstructured texts (notes, referral letters, questionnaires) and puts it into Elasticsearch. We use Elasticsearch to query medical data in our application.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with a product designer and our clients to help build new features and improve our existing ones. You will also contribute to improving CTcue's API and search engine alongside our development team.

Your profile

Get excited about the idea of joining a small startup. You are a developer that likes to work in a challenging, fast moving environment. Eager to learn, and you enjoy making new techniques your own or researching them.
